Material: Zinc

According to auction house records, this zinc token was produced in Gansu Province during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty.
The token follows the typical square-holed design, with inscriptions on the obverse arranged in the sequence from top to bottom, then right to left. The characters appear to resemble rough Chinese script, possibly reading “木工日囗,” (Mu Gong Ri Wei) though the precise meaning remains unclear. The reverse side has suffered significant wear, making it impossible to determine whether any inscriptions or designs were originally present.
