This two-cent copper coin is a Shaanxi Province-made double-flag coin. The obverse side features an inner and outer circle. The lower edge of the outer circle has the Chinese characters “五十枚換銀幣壹圓” (“Fifty coins exchanged for one silver dollar”), while the upper edge displays the words “陝西省造” (“Shaanxi Province Mint”). The inner circle is adorned with the “Jiahe” pattern, which consists of a rice ear design with three leaves.
The reverse side also has an inner and outer circle. The upper part of the outer circle features the four characters “中華民國” (“Republic of China”) in regular script, while the lower part displays the English “IMTPEF.” On either side are lotus flower designs; although slightly worn, their shapes are still discernible. The central part of the inner circle features the intertwined five-colour flag, which has no additional ornamentation, serving as a key identifying feature of the coin.
