This coin, minted in the 8th year of the Republic of China (AD 1919), was produced by the Guangdong Mint of the Military Government of the Republic of China and is known as the “Five Cent Nickel Coin.”

On the obverse side of the coin, within a beaded circle, there is the denomination “5” surrounded by rice ear motifs. The outer ring features the inscriptions “KWANG-TUNG PROVINCE” at the top and “FIVE CENTS” at the bottom, with six-petalled flower designs on either side.

The reverse side of the coin has a dot within a beaded circle and bears the inscription “伍仙鎳幣”(Five Cent Nickel Coin). The outer ring includes the inscription “中華民國八年” (8th Year of the Republic of China) at the top and “廣東省造” (Made in Guangdong Province) at the bottom. Additionally, the outer ring is adorned with two nine-pointed stars.

Nickel coins minted in Guangdong Province were only available in the denomination of five cents (half a mao) and were produced in the 8th year (AD 1919), 10th year (AD 1921), and 12th year (AD 1923) of the Republic of China.

這枚錢幣是民國8年（公元1919年），由中華民國軍政府廣東造幣廠製造的「伍仙鎳幣」。

該枚錢幣的正面，珠圈內有面額「5」數字，兩旁環繞稻禾圖案。外圈上下部份，分別鑄有鑄造地「KWANG-TUNG PROVINCE」，和面額「FIVE CENTS」英文字樣，左右尚飾有六瓣花圖樣。

在錢幣的背面，珠圈中心有一圓點，並鑄有「伍仙鎳幣」字樣。外圈上緣鑄有「中華民國八年」，下緣則鑄「廣東省造」等字。另外，外圈還飾有兩顆九芒星。

廣東省造鎳幣，僅有面額伍仙（半毫）一種，分別於民國8年（公元1919年）、10年（公元1921年）及12年（公元1923年）所造。
