This is a two cents silver coin produced by the Guangdong Mint. On the obverse side, the upper and lower edges are inscribed with “KWANG-TUNG PROVINCE” and “TWENTY CENTS” respectively, separated by four-petal floral designs on each side. The center prominently displays the denomination “20” in numerical form, adorned with a rope knot pattern.

On the reverse side, the upper and lower edges are inscribed in Standard Script with the characters “中華民國十年” (Tenth Year of the Republic of China) and “廣東省造” (Made in Guangdong Province) respectively. These inscriptions are separated by the same four-petal floral designs as on the obverse side. The center features the characters “貳毫銀幣” (two-mace silver coin) in a vertical arrangement. On both the obverse and reverse sides, the central and outer inscriptions are separated by beaded circles.

From the Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China period, it was customary in the Guangdong region to use silver coins. By the early years of the Republic of China, most of the circulating currency consisted of dragon silver coins minted in Fujian and Guangdong provinces during the Xuantong era. These were later replaced by Guangdong silver coins. Since Guangxi initially did not have a mint, Guangdong silver coins were also used in the Guangxi market until the establishment of the Guangxi Mint in the 8th year of the Republic of China (AD 1919).

這是一枚由廣東造幣廠所生產的貳毫銀幣。銀幣的正面上下緣環分別環有「KWANG-TUNG PROVINCE」與「TWENTY CENTS」，中間兩側以四瓣花瓣的圖案隔開，正中央則標示幣值20元，數字則用繩結紋裝飾。

背面，上下緣分別用標楷體環有「中華民國十年」與「廣東省造」的字樣，兩側文字間與正面相同的用四瓣花的圖樣隔開。中央為原點與「貳毫銀幣」的四字對讀。正反兩面，中間與外圍的文字皆用珠圈分隔。

從清朝到民初廣東地區就有使用銀幣的習慣，到民國初年，市面大多為宣統年間福建與廣東省鑄造的龍豪，後才改使用廣東銀毫。由於廣西初期無造幣廠，直到民國8年（公元1919年）後才有廣西造幣廠，因此初期廣西市面也使用廣東銀毫。
