This is a trade token with a face value of 4 Keping, issued in AD 1804 by the British East India Company based in Singapore.

The obverse of the coin features the coat of arms of the British East India Company. It depicts a St. George’s shield supported by lions on either side. The second quadrant of the shield bears the royal arms of England. At the top of the shield, there is a knight’s helmet adorned with a lion. The lions on either side hold St. George’s flags, symbolising England. The scroll at the base of the lions bears the Latin inscription ” AUSPICIO REGIS E SENATUS ANGLIÆ.,” which translates to the company’s motto, “By command of the King and Parliament of England.” The date “1804” is engraved at the bottom, while “EAST INDIA COMPANY” is inscribed at the top.

The reverse of the coin features three lines of text. At the top, it displays the Eastern Arabic numeral “۴”. In the middle, it has the Jawi script ” امڤت كڤڠ” indicating the denomination “4 Keping”. At the bottom, the Eastern Arabic numeral “١٢١٩” corresponds to the Islamic year 1219, which is equivalent to AD 1804.

錢幣正面是英國東印度公司的紋章，一個兩側由雄獅攙扶的聖喬治盾牌，盾牌的第二象限上有英國王室家徽。盾牌頂部有一個以雄獅裝飾的騎士頭盔，兩側的雄獅手持象徵英格蘭的聖喬治旌旗。雄獅腳踏的卷軸以拉丁文鐫刻「AUSPICIO REGIS E SENATUS ANGLIÆ.」，即公司的座右銘「奉英格蘭國王和議會命令」(By command of the King and Parliament of England)。錢幣下緣鐫刻鑄造年份「1804」，上緣則是「EAST INDIA COMPANY」(東印度公司)。

錢幣背面有三行文字，上方是東方阿拉伯數字「۴」，中間則是爪夷文標示的「امڤت كڤڠ」即面額「4克平」。下方的東方阿拉伯數字「١٢١٩」是回曆1219年，即公元1804年。
