This is a one-yuan spirit money note from the 10th year of the Republic of China (AD 1921), made from paper to imitate a coin. In Chinese beliefs regarding life and death, it is thought that the deceased continue to require money in the afterlife to meet their needs. The coin exhibits rough edges, indicating its crude quality.

On the obverse side of the coin, the inscription “10th year of the Republic” appears at the top, while the bottom features the portrait of a person wearing military attire, positioned on the left side. Judging from the facial features, such as the eyes and the bald head, it is highly likely that the portrait is a likeness of Tang Jiyao, the former Governor of Yunnan Province.

The reverse side of the coin features an incised decoration of laurel leaves surrounding the denomination “One Yuan.”

這是一枚民國10年(公元1921年)，民間以紙張模仿錢幣製作之面額壹圓的冥錢。華人生死觀相信人過世後，於陰間仍會需要錢幣打點生活所需。

錢幣周圍的邊緣凹凸不平，反映其品質十分粗糙。錢幣正面上緣有年份「民國十年」，下緣是身穿軍服的左側人物肖像。從人像眼睛和光頭形象判斷，極可能是臨摹雲南都督的唐繼堯。錢幣背面是陰刻的月桂葉裝飾和面額「壹圓」字樣。
