Size: 20 x 20 mm

This is the badge of the Disabled Veterans Wives Association membership in Japan, awarded by the Disabled Veterans Wives Association. After World War II, such associations were established in various prefectures and cities in Japan. The purpose of these associations is to assist their husbands and improve the welfare of disabled veterans.
The obverse of the badge modeled from the Disabled Veterans badge: a curved red cross with golden arrowheads adorning each arm, forming two intersecting crosses. In the centre, there is a golden disc with a chrysanthemum motif, flanked on both sides by olive branches symbolizing peace and victory. Below, there is a small golden bowtie.
The Disabled Veterans Badge is conferred by the Japanese government in accordance with the provisions outlined in the “Regulations on Disabled Veterans badge.” This badge is awarded to members, including warrant officers, in the Army and Navy.
The badge is categorized into two classes, namely, Class A and Class B. Class A is conferred upon individuals who have sustained injuries or illnesses during combat or similar official duties, while Class B is awarded to other personnel. Constructed from dark metallic material, the badge features cherry blossoms and lettering for individuals holding the rank of warrant officer and above.
