The Order of Sikatuna (Orden ng Sikatuna) is the Philippines’ national-level merit Order, awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the nation, diplomats, officials, and foreign individuals who have contributed to strengthening relations between their country and the Philippines. This Order can be conferred by the Secretary of Foreign Affairs on behalf of the President.

In AD 1953, then-President of the Philippines, Elpidio Quirino, established the Order of Sikatuna through Executive Order No. 571. The Order was named after a Datu, the local leader who, in AD 1565, was the first to sign the “Blood Compact”(El Pacto de Sangre) with foreigners. Initially, the Order had three ranks, but through several amendments, Executive Order No. 236 in AD 2003 formalized the Order of Sikatuna as the country’s second-highest honor with six grades. This object is the Grand Collar class of the Order of Sikatuna. The obverse consists of a an eight-point cross pate with red white & blue enamels (national colours). In the center of the medal, there is a cross with two arms holding a dagger. Above the arms, there is a bowl, symbolizing the blood compact between the Datu of Sikatuna and the first Spanish Governor-General, Miguel López de Legazpi, in the Philippines.

The Order is suspended from a laurel wreath-shaped suspension ring, which connects to the collar’s scroll-shaped suspension ring. The blue-painted scroll bears the legend “Commander Lareaute.” The collar consists of twenty ornaments arranged in sequence: six suns, sea lions, and scrolls, along with two Philippine coat of arms ornaments.

The reverse of the Order features the national emblem of the Philippines in the center, with a blue enamel border containing the legend “Ancient Order of Sikatuna *Raja*.” Below the Order, there are markings indicating the manufacturer as “EL ORO” J.TUPAZ JR and the material as 14K gold. On the reverse side of the laurel wreath-shaped suspension ring, there is an imprint indicating the material as 925 sterling silver.

In May AD 1960, during the state visit to Taiwan, President Carlos P. Garcia of the Philippines, along with his spouse, presented the highest Philippine honor, the Order of Sikatuna, in the form of a grand collar to President Chiang Kai-shek. This significant event was documented and reported by the Central News Agency with valuable photographs.

西加都納勳章(Orden ng Sikatuna)為菲律賓的國家級功績勳章，被授予為國家做出傑出貢獻的個人、外交官和官員，及對於強化本國與菲律賓之間關係做出貢獻的外籍人士，為此該勳章可由外交部長以總統名義授權和頒發。

公元1953年，時任菲律賓總統的埃爾皮迪奧·季里諾通過571號行政命令，以公元1565年首位跟外國人簽下「血盟」(El Pacto de Sangre)的達圖(地方領袖的頭銜)之名，創立作為國家最高級別榮耀的西加都納勳章。勳章起初僅有三個級別，歷經數次的修法，於公元2003年旨在規範勳章制度的236號行政命令裡，確立西加都納勳章作為國家的二等榮耀，並有六個級別。(見表格)

此物件為頒發給一國元首之尊的大項鍊級，勳章正面由一個象徵菲律賓國旗，以紅、白、藍琺瑯配色組成的八端十字架。在勳章的中央有十字交叉，握著匕首的兩條手臂，手臂上方擺有一個碗，象徵菲律賓的西加都納達圖跟第一位西班牙總督雷加普斯之間的血盟。勳章以月桂花環狀的懸掛環，跟頸鍊的書卷狀懸掛環互相接合，藍色彩繪的書卷寫有「Commander Lareaute」銘文。組成頸鍊的二十個飾品，是依序排列的六個太陽、海獅子跟卷軸，以及兩個菲律賓國徽的飾品。

勳章的背面，在中央有一菲律賓的國徽，藍色琺瑯的外框則有「Ancient Order of Sikatuna *Raja*」銘文。而勳章的下方印有製造商「”EL ORO” J.TUPAZ JR」及使用14K金的材質標記。而在月桂花環狀的懸掛環背面，則有打印925純銀的材質標記。

於公元1960年5月，來臺進行國是訪問的第八任菲律賓總統卡洛斯·賈西亞伉儷，趁時任中華民國總統的蔣介石伉儷抵達圓山行館答拜時，將菲國最高榮耀的大項鍊級西加都納勳章贈與蔣介石，並且在中央通訊社留下珍貴的報導和照片紀錄。
