On the obverse side, a snow lion is depicted facing left, flanked by two inscriptions: “rab byung 15” (“cycle 15”) above and “lo 53” (“year 53”) below. This central motif is enclosed within a larger circular frame, within which eight Buddhist auspicious emblems are arranged in a specific sequence, commencing at the 12 o’clock position and proceeding clockwise: parasol, a pair of golden fishes, treasure vase, lotus flower, conch, endless knot, banner of victory, and wheel of dharma. In the central circle, devoid of a dot in its centre, a stylized wheel is rendered, boasting eight spokes. This central wheel is further encircled by an additional circle
The outer circle contains the following legend that reads as follows, commencing at the 12 o’clock position and progressing clockwise: dga’ ldan pho brang phyo(gs) las rnam rgyal/ tam srang 20 .
